The Silly Me… ;-)

           Childhood is sometime that is filled with a lot of FUN, Laughs, mischievous behavior, and of course many fantasies and silly mistakes… When I look back at those days of my life, Somethings that make me LAUGH like hell now 😀 are those that kept me struggling all through that time…

Here they go…

The Ice cream : I like “Choco Bar” a lot… But, I used to have a problem eating it… From the tip to the middle of the stick, things used to go smooth… There starts the trouble… I used to find it very difficult eating the end part of the Ice-Cream because I used to put it straight into my mouth, until recently when I discovered that it can be eaten sideways also…! 😀 😉

The Body and Blood : I used to think that all the body organs ‘remain floating’ in Blood… and only because of that, wheresoever there is a cut or wound on body, Blood comes out…! and so it is very important…!

Only in my 5th or 6th standard I came to know the actual truth… 😀 and many such silly presumptions regarding the Human Body and realizations later on made me a Life-Sciences Student now…!

The TV : I used to think that those who are in TV can not come out and those who are outside can not go into it… all those Movie Stars, Reporters and even the Politicians never existed for me in the real world…One day, I saw a helicopter passing over our home and my mom told me that it is the Chief Minister’s… Then, I asked her the same and she got me relieved of my doubt and surprise…

The Cartoons : When I came to know that people shown in TV are also present in the real world, I started to think that even the man with anchors on his hands… ‘Popeye The sailor Man’…, Captain Planet, etc are also real…!

Advertisement-Animations : Like the one below…

 {Oops… Sorry…! I couldn’t find any video commercial of such kind now…! 😦 Anyways, you know what I mean… Right…! :-)}

I used to tell my mom not to take the free article for a particular commodity expecting it to fall in our trolley with sprinkling stars (Magic) by itself as shown in the add…

Movie Hero :This one is still partly on…!  Whenever I watch a movie and I like it, I get into being the Movie’s Hero in the same profession and with similar attitude for a few days and sometimes till I watch another movie…! 😉 You Know… Jumping off the cot with a toy gun in my hands and saying FREEZE… FBI…! to my mom and dad…, taking a phone and saying ‘Roger that’, ‘Copy..!’ and that sort of things…

These are some of my fantasies that kept me busy through all my Childhood…

In fact, I am still carrying a piece of my childhood in me… and the fantasies didn’t pass too… Now that my Profession is confirmed as a Pharmacist (By Choice), I’ve started to watch sci-fi movies a lot… Now, in my world, I have the powers of Wolverine, jean grey and Prof.Charles… (Yes all the three…!) in me alone…!

One more thing that I still carry is about the Abbreviations… Basically, I am too poor in General Knowledge… So, When ever I come across some abbreviation form, I just fill it in with some words that come to my mind… Like NGO becomes National Geographical Officer while it actually stands for Non-Governmental Organisation… 😉 Sometimes I even get them right as I choose my words according to the location and context of the issue… Common Sense…haa 🙂

Yes, It is obvious that some things like above are highly misunderstood during childhood (even in adulthood) by everyone… But, the feeling that we get after we come to know the actual truth is always INCREDIBLE… We feel like WE ARE AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD… Isn’t that true…?

Now don’t tell me NO because I know that it is a YES by myself…! 🙂

Have Fun… and Take Care… 🙂

Re-Viewing my own Posts…

Looking back at my first few posts A Look Ahead and My New-Year Resolutions, I can tell you that almost everything is going on as expected… I am both happy 🙂 and sad 😦 about that…

Just 10 days into 2012, I broke some of my Resolutions and the only activities that are ‘Still On’ are Blogging and Walking… The idea of writing a book fell down, and Weight loss thing has never been attended to… 😦

I have given all those ‘RESOLUTIONS’ a very good start and everything went on so well for a few days…

But then, I started to miss my bournville chocolates, and my Choco-Bar Ice-creams a lot… So, just took one of each and every thing came back to the same old scene again…!

Yes, I am sure that same is the case with many of you over there… Now, the question is “Why is it so hard to keep such a promise made by us for the betterment of ourself..!?” and the ANSWER would be that such resolutions on New-Years and Birthdays are taken under emotional out flow… Initially, there will be a lot of excitement in doing what you have thought of… But,                                                            “Emotions and Feelings change very fast” and slowly the interest wears out and things come back to normal… Lack of Will Power and Commitment is mainly responsible for this…

Earlier, there used to be a lot of waiting before someone could reach a place or meet their loved ones or before they could obtain some Information… and this waiting and constant effort the person puts for an achievement gave them a lot of WillPower…

But, in a world where any information is just a click away and any thing you need is just a store apart, we are experiencing a deficit of such WillPower…

So, I have made a list of some simple Do’s before I re-visit my Bigger Resolutions… I am pretty confident that you will also be benefited by these…

  1. Stay away from that which you are addicted to – TV, Computer, Tea, Coffee, Getting up late, etc…

  2. Taking bath as soon as returning from work or college and not sitting before TV as you feel too lazy and tired to take a shower first…

  3. Sometimes when you want to say something that is not important, decide not to say it…

  4. Learn to cook a dish you like very much and let others enjoy eating it…

  5. Prefer to travel by train or bus rather than your own car or bike… and While travelling so, get up and offer your seat to an elderly person…

These are some exercises in overcoming resistance of Mind, Body and Feelings…Having accomplished them for a week, reward yourself for you are Strengthening your will power…

I promise that you will reap the benefits because these will work at the subconscious level… with these activities, strengthen your will power to use it when you need it.

Let us together make 2012 the year where we strengthen our willpower through small accomplishments… Now, don’t say that you cannot follow the above exercises, because you certainly can…! ( also telling this to myself… 😉 )

The Energy Equivalence ‘FOR HEALTH’…!

The title may seem a bit odd… but, please ‘stay tuned’ till the end to find out if it is the perfect fit for this article…

Well, I shall start with a Question… (dont worry… Its not too tough)…What is the DIFFERENCE between a NUCLEAR POWER REACTOR and a NUCLEAR WEAPON (like an atom bomb)…!?

As I said… Right. Not too tough… here lies MY VERSION…In a reactor, the ENERGY PRODUCTION is LIMITED to meet the ENERGY CONSUMPTION or REQUIREMENT…While in a bomb, ENERGY PRODUCTION is WAY BEYOND the manageable LIMIT and all that is left freewithout a window for proper utilization…!

By now, you know that any EXCESS energy will only lead to DISTRUCTION…!

 This is true in all circumstances… HIGHER the Energy, LESSER is the STABILIY… Not only in Physics and Chemistry, but the same rule fits for all LIVING BEINGS as well…!Trust me on this… Being a student of Life-Sciences, I know this better than any other person…

 Now, We derive energy from two sources

                    FOOD;

                    BRAIN.

 I will First deal with the BRAIN…

 “Brain” is the chief controlling organ of our body… Your bodily responses, however big or small they are; Decisions; Intelligence; likes and dislikes; Perception of a situation; infact, your every move is actually directed from the Brain…It extends such control by Generating Electrical Signals (called nerve impulses), which of course is a form of energy…!

 Here is how it works…

 Case 1 : You are RUNNING or CYCLING…!

          What’s happening here is ‘your brain is generating energy (Impulses) in order to balance your body, coordinate your hands, legs, etc and also is constantly looking the world around to keep you safe…’ Well, that’s a lot of energy… and in response to all of that, your muscles are also working pretty hard to keep moving and that causes ENERGY-CONSUMPTION BALANCE… and that will keep you HEALTHY…!

          So is with many other activities that demand “PHYSICAL INPUT”

Case 2 : You are Playing a Computer Racing game…!

          Your Brain is now working and radiating energy at a rate of 150miles/hr or even more and all you are doing physically is moving 3fingers around 4keys… Such Activities create A LOT OF GAP between the PRODUCTION and CONSUMPTION of ENERGY, thus leaving a lot of FREE ENERGY within your body…!

          So is with many other Works that demands “MENTAL STRAIN”

 All this energy is responsible for most of the Health problems like Restlessness, Sleep Deprivation, General Weakness, etc at minimum and Immune Depression (More chance for Infections), Degenerative Diseases (Diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease), Auto-Immune Diseases, and even Cancer at the worst situation…

 Now comming to the FOOD…

This tells you How to Do it...!

I do not think anything new must be said about this food thing… A lot of awareness has been gained in this aspect these days… Still, I really want to cover a few important things…

          Eat home-made foods and avoid all the fast-foods;

          See that your food contains a lot of Roughage in it;

          Remember that “A healthy dite practice should be like NO FEAST, NO FAST”;

          Eat Fresh foods and AVOID TINNED Foods;

 You should remember that GOOD FOOD provides you not only with Carbohydrates and Fats, but also with all other Macro and Micro Nutrients…

 I found a small Software (Only for Windows) to elucidate the Nutritive Values of various Food Items… @ Nutritive Values of Food Items… Hope this will help you choose the better ones…

 Now it is your turn to find ways for FILLING THE GAP between Energy Production and Consumption in order to be Happily Healthy…

 Just remember; You do one of these two things Every Day… You either BUILD HEALTH or DISEASE in YOURSELF…

 Also Keep in Mind that Too Much of Anything is good for Nothing… So, Start or Stop anything Slowly and try keeping the change consistent to obtain the Best Results

 Take Care…!

The ‘Paradox’ Behind Life…

Three pairs of paradoxical needs drive human life. And they are,
1. Certainty and uncertainty.
2.
Individuality and connectedness.
3.
Having and giving.

Man gets tossed between these paradoxical needs because when one need is satiated the other is starved. Then, you focus on satiating the latter, only to end up starving the former. Understand this paradox and you will understand life.

First Paradox: Certainty provides order. Uncertainty provides growth. Both order and growth are needed to complete life. And, that’s the first paradox. You want certainty. So, you try to achieve certainty by trying to control everything around you. Now, when your life becomes completely certain, when things become predictable, you become bored. That’s why you lose interest in a work that you know you can handle. So, while you want certainty, you simultaneously also want a certain amount of variety, which comes only out of uncertainty. You need surprises and challenges for you to feel fully alive. Too much certainty is boredom. Unfortunately, once you hurl yourself completely into uncertainty for the sake of versatility and challenges, with too much uncertainty you become extremely nervous and concerned. You again seek a degree of certainty. Two sides of the same coin but you keep toggling between the two sides, causing a roller coaster ride in the flow and rhythm of your life…

Second Paradox: As a physical being you are the only one of your kind, absolutely unique and individualistic. But at the same time, as a spiritual being, the spirit of life that enlivens you is also the same spirit that enlivens all. So, spiritually you are connected to one and all. Both individuality and connectivity are needed to complete life. And, that’s the second paradox. As a unique individual, you need identity. You need significance. If you don’t find the right ways to feel significant, the sheer desperation to fulfil this need might even propel you to choose wrong ways to feel significant. Some people even become unique by developing extreme problems that set them apart from others. In fact, most people develop the subconscious ability to make themselves ill in order to gain the caring attention of others. From dressing in certain ways to carrying a certain style, all stem from this need. Obviously, when your trumpet is too loud, others will begin to withdraw from you. That’s why, you lose out on relationships; at least people begin to distance themselves. Now you feel separated. Now you feel lonely and isolated. So, you crave for connectedness. You want to be cared for and cared about. You want to feel one with the crowd. To meet this need, you join a fraternity or a club. Any form of gang is okay. Once you feel so well connected, you will again feel as if you have lost your own identity in a crowd. And, the seesaw of being tossed from one need to another only continues…

Third Paradox: Life is a flow and this flow is achieved through possessing and sharing. Both having and giving are needed to complete life. And, that’s the third paradox. The need to have and the need to give. The need to consume and the need to contribute. The need for accumulation and the need for renunciation. The toss is between selfishness (instinctive) and unselfishness (conscience).And, the oscillation is between being spiritual in giving and being materialistic in having…

While everything you do will be tossed between these paradoxes, if you can find a few activities in your life, which fulfils all the six needs and gives you that balance in life, you will discover a new zeal in life… the kinds you have never experienced ever before. That’s the secret to a complete life.

With Infinite Love…

Arguments are really GOOD*… (*Conditions Apply)

A normal conversation among people with different ideas will often lead to an “Argument” and many say ‘Arguments’ can only be a source of pain in Relationships

Well, I do not accept with them. I feel like – an argument is one of the best ways to understand others, provided, it is done in the right way… I tell you what – all the arguments I have had so far made me get much more close to my people…

Always be remembered, A feeling ‘Expressed’ may cause hurt in a relationship… But, an ‘unexpressed’ feeling will hurt the relationship itself…”

Well…In my idea, to get the most out of any Argument (I definitely do not mean the winning thing here), one needs some clarity over the following…

1. Any issue can be handled in two ways… In APPLIED form or in PURE form In APPLIED form, you discuss what the other person did and what you didn’t like about it and not whether it is correct or wrong. So, IMPLYING things to yourself in such situations doesn’t help even if you are right In PURE form, you discuss what should have been done to be correct and what was actually did

        The former seems to be like COMPLAINING and the later, like EXPLAINING

2. One should never miss the logic while arguing to make the other person ‘understand’ your perception of the situation… To be logical, It is your intelligence that should act and not your emotional personality…

        So, Keep the situation cool and calm… Avoid Complaining or Criticizing

3. Most importantly, you should not try to win over the other… After all, you are arguing with your loved ones only to avoid repeating the situation that gave you pain…

        So, keep in mind – The Question is not about whose Mistake, it is about Whose life

 I believe that a conversation or an argument with ‘someone important in lifewill help you to realize the mistakes and to learn what the right path is…

        By this, you will get to know each other in a much better way and will be happier than ever…

So it’s all in the way we argue, but when one does, it means they are developing critical thinking skills and a valuable life skill. The noble purpose of an argument is persuade someone through logic and reasoning to change their minds for the betterment of themselves or the world...

Now, Better DON’T say NO to an Argument…! 😉

This is what I think… How about you…!?
