The Tour – Day 3 ( Araku Valley and Vizag)

15-09-2012,

Araku Valley to Vishakapatnam.

The Rooms were so good, but the temperature wasn’t much encouraging for a good sleep… I woke up by 5:30am and came out of my room… I could hardly stop shivering… My friend Naresh also came out and both of us roamed around the place… The touch of warm and soothing sun rays in the midst of cold breeze was just inexpressible… The Gardens, valleys & hills around, and our resorts in the middle made a splendid view… 🙂

We went back to our rooms and woke up all the others… We got ready and had our breakfast, followed by a photo-shoot session in the resort… The plan was to reach vizag by that evening…

Our Rooms in Araku

Then, we went to the Tribal Museum… There were pictures and models of their huts, cooking tools, weapons for hunting, etc… Some pics showing their way of marriage ceremony, their dressing style and some important festivals they celebrate and the musical instruments they use… It felt really good to know all that…

( Photography is prohibited inside… So, no pics… 😦 )

From there, We have gone to the Botanical Garden. There, I have seen camphor trees for the first time ever… The garden was full of flowering plants without flowers… Actually, we have visited the place off-season and for the first time, I felt very bad about that… Our driver who is also our tourist guide said that all the plants will bloom in the months of November to February… It was even more disappointing to know that not only the garden, but the whole valley turns colourful at that time… We really missed that…

Then, we went to the Gala View point… The view from there was awesome… We have taken a group photo there and also some individual photographs there…

The whole road route was also awesome… All along the way, we have seen many movie shooting spots… Knowing that many of the biggest hit movies were shot at the very same place where we were standing that day was really exciting… We have also seen coffee plantations and had coffee there…

At Coffee Plantations

Including those, I have seen many plants of high medical interest there…

There was another waterfall whose name I don’t remember now, but we went there… It’s much smaller than the previous one, but the view was awesome…

That was the last place we visited in the midst of hills and valleys… We were going down-hill and all of a sudden one of my friends asked the driver to stop the car and he started to vomit everything he had from that morning. It was Motion sickness… Within the next half an hour, eight members followed him… and the rest of us were fine… Since I don’t know how it feels, It seemed really funny to me…

The Ghat road ended shortly and we reached Tatipudi Reservoir… Those of us who suffered motion sickness regained their full vigour and to celebrate that, we went on a boat ride…

In the Boat… 🙂

It was so calm except for the horrible noise of the boat’s motor ;-), and we enjoyed that 20min long ride into the huge water-body with green hills all around us…

A few more kilometers into our journey, three of my friends got down at one of our friends home town and rest of us reached Vizag by 5’o clock in the evening… We checked in at the same hotel we stayed the last time…

After resting for a while, we went out again and went to R.K Beach. I got into water there… The sea was really violent that night and we didn’t go too deep into it… Later we roamed all along the beach road… It was really beautiful…

We cought a bus there and reached our hotel… Took bath and went to the much awaited movie, “Life is Beautful” in Jagadamba Theater

Liked both the movie and theater a lot… Reached hotel and slipped into sleep after little more roaming on the empty streets of Vizag city…
