Re-Viewing my own Posts…

Looking back at my first few posts A Look Ahead and My New-Year Resolutions, I can tell you that almost everything is going on as expected… I am both happy 🙂 and sad 😦 about that…

Just 10 days into 2012, I broke some of my Resolutions and the only activities that are ‘Still On’ are Blogging and Walking… The idea of writing a book fell down, and Weight loss thing has never been attended to… 😦

I have given all those ‘RESOLUTIONS’ a very good start and everything went on so well for a few days…

But then, I started to miss my bournville chocolates, and my Choco-Bar Ice-creams a lot… So, just took one of each and every thing came back to the same old scene again…!

Yes, I am sure that same is the case with many of you over there… Now, the question is “Why is it so hard to keep such a promise made by us for the betterment of ourself..!?” and the ANSWER would be that such resolutions on New-Years and Birthdays are taken under emotional out flow… Initially, there will be a lot of excitement in doing what you have thought of… But,                                                            “Emotions and Feelings change very fast” and slowly the interest wears out and things come back to normal… Lack of Will Power and Commitment is mainly responsible for this…

Earlier, there used to be a lot of waiting before someone could reach a place or meet their loved ones or before they could obtain some Information… and this waiting and constant effort the person puts for an achievement gave them a lot of WillPower…

But, in a world where any information is just a click away and any thing you need is just a store apart, we are experiencing a deficit of such WillPower…

So, I have made a list of some simple Do’s before I re-visit my Bigger Resolutions… I am pretty confident that you will also be benefited by these…

  1. Stay away from that which you are addicted to – TV, Computer, Tea, Coffee, Getting up late, etc…

  2. Taking bath as soon as returning from work or college and not sitting before TV as you feel too lazy and tired to take a shower first…

  3. Sometimes when you want to say something that is not important, decide not to say it…

  4. Learn to cook a dish you like very much and let others enjoy eating it…

  5. Prefer to travel by train or bus rather than your own car or bike… and While travelling so, get up and offer your seat to an elderly person…

These are some exercises in overcoming resistance of Mind, Body and Feelings…Having accomplished them for a week, reward yourself for you are Strengthening your will power…

I promise that you will reap the benefits because these will work at the subconscious level… with these activities, strengthen your will power to use it when you need it.

Let us together make 2012 the year where we strengthen our willpower through small accomplishments… Now, don’t say that you cannot follow the above exercises, because you certainly can…! ( also telling this to myself… 😉 )
